Solid poplar wood with slats and upholstered in undyed certified organic cotton canvas, the Atlas foundation is offered in standard depth of 4" or 8". A slatbox foundation is the preferred option for natural latex mattress and hybrid latex and pocketed coil mattresses. The Queen and Kings have center supports that run vertically for extra support. Poplar is a hardwood and easily supports the weight of heavy latex mattresses. This does not come with legs and is a more traditional option that requires a frame to raise it off the ground for proper air circulation. Made in U.S.A.
